MEET OUR FOUNDER

Ekaete Alfred

Ekaete has spent over a decade teaching history to secondary school children across London. A committed Pan Africanist, her passion for education and Africa led her to start The Pan African Academy - a supplementary school which will provide students with the opportunity to study African history from antiquity to the present day; bridging the gap between children of the diaspora and their homeland.

Ekaete has a BA in History with American Studies from Brunel University and a Secondary School History PGCE from the Institute of Education (UCL).

Dedicated to the educational enrichment of young people, Ekaete passionately believes that when equipped with the necessary tools, support and guidance; everybody can achieve.

"I want my son to be able to learn about the good parts of his history. Not just the bad. There's only so much I can teach him myself so having the opportunity to attend the Academy is fantastic!"
