WELCOME TO THE PAN AFRICAN ACADEMY!
It is great to have you here...
The Pan African Academy is an education and cultural platform exploring African history, identity and the African world. Through children's education, cultural storytelling, conversations and events, we create spaces to learn from our past, understand our present and imagine our future.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Ekaete Alfred is a passionate educator and committed Pan-Africanist with over a decade of experience teaching history in secondary schools across London. Recognising the need for meaningful and authentic engagement with African history, she founded The Pan African Academy to create new ways for children and adults to learn about and engage with Africa’s past.
Through The Pan African Academy, Ekaete creates educational experiences for children that use African history not only to deepen their knowledge, but as a vehicle for personal development and a stronger understanding of who they are and where they come from.
Through her writing, content and public conversations, she explores African history alongside the issues shaping Africa and its diaspora today.
Ekaete also works with schools, educators and organisations, drawing on her experience in education to support meaningful engagement with African history.
Would you like to explore how The Pan African Academy can support your child, school or organisation, or work with Ekaete on a project? Let’s connect.
